State of the Union Thoughts: False Accomplishments

Salvete.

Well, I turned on the State of the Union speech, and all I'm hearing are false accomplishments. I'm listening right now, and I'm groaning from a tedious list of "achievements" of the United States in the Middle East. Stuff like Syrian democracy, Iranian nukes, peace talks between Israel and Palestine, et cetera. It seems like every other sentence, the audience bursts out in applause. This man doesn't deserve half the applause he gets.

Whoa, did the audience just applaud a veto? That's never happened in ages, if ever. Golly, Jackson used a veto sparingly and was declared a tyrant. This president can get away with murder, particularly the murder of

Now the mention of the Winter Olympics, and propagandistic "U-S-A." Oh, the blind nationalism...

And, not to be outdone, Obama puts Obamacare in the spotlight, giving a touching anecdote and recieving a blind round of applause. As Americans, we must have lost our political dignity and our sanity. Obama is manipulating the audience, not reporting the cold, hard facts. I hope that he would note the difficult times and the bad things that are happening in America. I might have just a tad more respect for him.

Ah, Cory. Congrats, and thank you for your service. You deserve the most applause. That being said, you are a distraction, a tool by the United States government used to distract the American populace and run out the clock. Obama is already using you.

No, America. You have not accomplished anything. We remain a nation of dignity and honor, but we gain nothing in our society. Don't let the words of a silver-tongued politician fool you.

And, well, that's it. God Bless America, everyone. We desperately need a blessing.
