#SOTUchat Thoughts

Apparently, the circus act is not over yet. A blind, eager, young audience is ready to listen to government officials suck up to the president and endlessly sing his praises.

I'm hearing the factual equivalent of silence. There is nothing that Democrat politicians wouldn't say; there is no fact, only fluff. Very few Republican conservatives seem to be present.

This is propaganda. Videos, lavish praise, political celebrity appearances, and the second "first" annual "Big Block of Cheese Day..." It means little to nothing.

The main topic is schools, for teachers and students. Everyone is demanding the government to intervene, to do something. They demand benefits, and they demand that the government fix their problems. The government should step out. They should lower scholarships and lower tuition costs. That way, the government cannot use the school as an instrument of economic redistribution.

Wow, John Green did a cameo in one of those pictures. I have respect for him as a scholar, but I don't approve of the use and manipulation of celebrities for nationalist and governmental propaganda. It was still Mr. Green's choice, though, and I respect his choice to volunteer (or accept the role) for his part.

Ah, worker's rights now. Fantastic; all that we need is for government is to barge into the economy to rescue the poor, helpless worker. This gets applause? Why should any of this get applause?

Detroit. Fun. Yet another demand for government intervention.

Aaaaaaaaand deportation. "Immigration reform." Golly, is there a single question that does not favor Democrats? I would have loved to see a Tea Party member in the mix. That would spice things up.

Minimum wage. Fun. We wouldn't need to increase the minimum wage if we stopped printing money endlessly.

The National Catholic Social Justice Lobby. On the minimum wage. Yikes. When the church gets brainwashed by leftist politics, the clock starts ticking on the conservative movement. Hold steady, conservative leaders of the church!

"Is the energy strategy working?" I'll answer. No. We've wasted tons of money for very, very little energy. Tens of businesses were closed. Yet these folks will answer "yes," with a bogus explanation using statistics manipulated for their own purpose. We are losing the economic war to China bit by bit partially through energy, but at least we are the "leader" of green energy! No, climate change is not an indisputable fact.

I will formulate my thoughts sometime soon; as for now, I'm responding to the questions as they go.
